JBoss Development
Overview
JBoss is an open-source J2EE application server, which comprises a full set of products and tools for building of enterprise-level software solutions. It was developed by the similarly-named company and is the most widely used Java application server today. JBoss refers to a class of open-source products as well as many other commercially developed programs which may be download and used for free; however, support and consulting services are to be paid for. Free-of-charge basis and good realization of J2EE principles make it possible to consider JBoss one of the main competitors for the providers of similar software solutions.
JBoss Application Server helps to develop and deploy enterprise Java applications, Web applications, and Portals providing the full range of J2EE 1.4 features as well as extended enterprise services including clustering, caching, and persistence.
Expertise
Over a period of several years we have been helping our clients to meet their business goals and to considerably gain from using open-source software, JBoss in particular, for their projects. That’s why most members of our Java team have acquired a wide knowledge background in software development with JBoss products and have successfully completed a number of JBoss projects.
In fact, Qulix has two main alternatives for software solutions design. One option is to use commercial proprietary products, like the ones from IBM (WebSphere) or Oracle (Oracle AS). The other option is to propose something similar in terms of efficiency but much more convenient in terms of Cost-Of-Ownership. Here JBoss is Qulix’ preferred variant.
Besides JBoss Application server Qulix has also gained fundamental experience with such JBoss products and technologies as:
- JBoss ESB (Enterprise Service Bus) – a single platform to find, integrate and orchestrate SOA business services, enterprise applications, and other IT assets into automated business processes. JBoss ESB intermediates interactions between enterprise applications, business services, business components, and middleware to integrate;
- JBoss Hibernate – a powerful, high performance object/relational persistence and query service. JBoss Hibernate makes it possible to develop persistent classes following object-oriented idiom, including association, inheritance, polymorphism, composition, and collections;
- JBoss Messaging – a JBoss enterprise asynchronous messaging system;
- JBoss Transactions – a service which protects businesses from data corruption by guaranteeing complete, accurate business transactions for Java based applications thereby eliminating the risks and costs associated with time-consuming manual reconciliation following failures;
- JBoss SEAM – a framework for development of rich web client interfaces.
