Mobile Banking Rank 2015

Jul 31, 2015

Starting from 2012, Qulix’s digital banking solutions have been regularly included in various industry-specific ratings and top lists. We have recently posted that VTB24’s mobile banking and Rosbank mobile app were featured in USABILITYLAB’s research study on the usability of iPhone apps for private banking. Our company got more good news this past week when an independent analytical agency Markswebb Rank & Report announced the results of the 4th wave of research on the effectiveness of the Russian mobile banking services for private customers. 9 of the solutions developed by Qulix made it into the final ratings.

This year’s research covered more than 90 smartphone apps of 27 major Russian banks. As before, Markswebb’s analysts focused their attention on two major effectiveness criteria – functionality and usability. The research team made an online survey of more than 3000 internet users across the country and studied the UI of banking apps for smartphones and tablets that work under iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. To evaluate user friendliness, a series of usability tests was conducted involving real bank customers. Based on the findings, Markswebb’s analysts compiled 5 effectiveness ratings for retail banking solutions for different devices and platforms.

The research report features 9 applications that our company has created for Russian banks Uralsib, VTB24 and Rosbank. Their rank positions are listed in the table below:

“We’ve had a long history of successful cooperation with VTB24. Back in 2012, the first version of their mobile banking application – that was created based on the StandFore FS front end platform – got a lot of credit from VTB24’s customers and professional audience and topped the very first Mobile Banking Rank. Last summer we released an all-new version of the app for iPhone. This fresh app enhanced its position in the rating compared against the results of the previous version. We do not have that much experience with Rosbank – our partnership only started in May 2014. The project centers on the complete replacement of the bank’s existing mobile banking services platform for private customers. It started inMarch. We are currently analysing feedback, collecting statistics, and working away on improving the first version of the apps. The research shows that we are on the right track. And finally, our partnership with Uralsib has demonstrated some really good results. Starting from April 2013, we have been working closely together with the bank’s project team to deliver efficient digital banking services. Our specialists have taken extra care to create a natural and user-friendly interface that would provide smooth and, what’s most important, secure access to the services offered by more than 8000 enrolled providers across the country. We also tried to ensure maximum flexibility in the customisation of account settings. Apparently, this effort was successful and Uralsib made it to the top 3 of the Russian mobile banking service providers. We are happy to be part of this success,” commented Sergey Zhirko, Head of Comprehensive Solutions Department at Qulix Systems.
