Case-Study: Claim Worksheet Automation
Client
The client is a large US company in the insurance business.
Problem
The Claims Worksheet was designed to gather claim information from the Pollution Insurance Products unit. Before, the worksheet was filled out manually by the claims adjuster and supplied to the Department for them to do their analysis on pollution claims.
Automation of the worksheet will provide the Claims Department with a more efficient method of capturing claim data as different systems will be enabled to feed the worksheet with previously collected information. Report templates can be built to provide a better mechanism of reporting on losses. This provides an up-to-date view of pollution claims statistics which will be used to enhance underwriting guidelines along with making more informed decisions for proper pricing, coverages, etc.
Solution
Qulix was engaged as an offshore software development company for the task.
Environmental Claims Worksheet application is a new development within the client's system. The system is a combination of client-server multi-functional Visual Basic application, .NET application, and J2EE application. Environmental Claims Worksheet application provides data entry and validation functions to the claims information database.
